What Is the TLC Lifetime Commitment^SM?

This commitment simply states that if additional treatment is required to sustain the distance-vision result of a TLC laser eye surgery procedure, a qualified patient will receive the additional treatment free of charge from any TLC Laser Eye Center in North America.

Who Is Qualified?

TLC Lifetime Commitment^SM is for patients who have received laser vision treatment from a member surgeon at a TLC Laser Eye Center. TLC patients who are nearsighted and astigmatic are eligible for the program; and since 99% of people with myopia belong to this group, the program is really to the advantage of most TLC Laser Eye Center patients.

Farsighted patients are not eligible for the program.

How to Maintain Your Entitlement to the Program?

A patient should finish all his/her post-operative consultations during the first year of treatment.

If a TLC doctor advises re-treatment during the first year, all TLC Laser Eye Center patients may be eligible for the additional LASIK treatment free of charge.

Conventional LASIK patients who qualify for the program and require an upgrade to Custom LASIK will be charged for the difference in current LASIK prices.

However, Custom LASIK patients who qualify for the program and require another Custom LASIK will not be charged.

Benefits for Patients Who Are Not Eligible

If a TLC doctor advises additional treatment within a year of the original TLC laser eye surgery, even patients who are not qualified for the program can get Conventional LASIK free of charge.

If a TLC doctor recommends a Custom LASIK upgrade, the patient will be billed for the disparity in today’s LASIK costs. But Custom LASIK patients will receive re-treatments at no charge.

No Enrollment Necessary

TLC Laser Eye Surgery patients are enrolled in the program after receiving laser eye surgery for myopia and/or astigmatism.

Patients will be given a TLC Lifetime Commitment^SM Membership Card and procedures to follow on the day of surgery. All they need to do is sign the TLC Lifetime Commitment^SM Acknowledgement to be eligible.
